The Irish National Sailing & Powerboat School is currently looking for experienced RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructors to join our team on a freelance / contract basis.

Based in Dublin, we deliver a wide range of RYA training courses for recreational boaters, commercial operators, and maritime professionals. As demand for our advanced powerboat courses continues to grow, we’re expanding our instructor team.

About the role

You’ll be delivering high-quality training on RYA Advanced Powerboat courses, working with students of varying backgrounds, from private individuals, to commercial operators and emergency services. levels. This role suits instructors who are passionate about seamanship, safety, and helping students build real confidence on the water.

Responsibilities include:
• Delivering RYA Advanced Powerboat courses to the highest instructional standards
• Providing clear, supportive coaching to students

We’re looking for instructors who have:
• RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor qualification
• Strong practical boating and seamanship experience
• Professional, friendly teaching style
• Availability to work flexible dates during the season

Our Chief Instructor…

Kenneth Rumball is a RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor, RYA Yachtmaster (Sail) Instructor and RYA Yachtmaster (Sail) Examiner. In addition, Kenneth is qualified to deliver RYA Shorebased Courses including VHF SRC, Sea Survival as well as Navigation Courses.

We have a specific course in mind, running Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd April for a commercial client. Kenneth will be leading the course so it would be an excellent opportunity for a new team member to get a thorough introduction to our operations with a local mentor.
