Dinghy Level 3 : Better Sailing

Syllabus
Consolidate your sailing skills while learning new advanced skills. Courses run on Saturdays and Sundays from 9.30am-5.30pm each day.
In addition to fine honing the skills you will have acquired on the level 1 and 2 courses, the level 3 course introduces the following manoeuvres and skills:
- Reefing – making your sail area smaller to cope with weather conditions.
- Learning how to pick up a mooring.
- Learning how to come alongside a moored boat / pontoon.
- Recovering a person fallen overboard.
- Introduction to Racing!
Successful participants will receive the RYA Level 3 Dinghy Certificate.
The course is delivered in our RS Zests, Laser Dinghies and RS Quest doublehanded dinghies. The Level 3 course allows time for you and your instructor to hone in on specific areas where you need coaching, while introducing some more advanced techniques as taster sessions, such as racing, seamanship manoeuvres as well as spinnaker and trapeze.

The Boat
Your training boat is the RS Quest double handed boats.
